Genevie Bredehoeft Stell, 88, of Owasso, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on March 27, 2018. She was born on February 27, 1930 in Decatur, Arkansas, to Donald Stuart Bredehoeft and Nellie Belle Morgan Bredehoeft. August 9, 1968, Genevie married the love of her life, John Thurman Stell, Jr. in Del City, Oklahoma. She lovingly cared for him until his passing October 14, 2010. After many years of service, Genevie retired from The Bama Food Companies as treasurer.Genevie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Nellie Bredehoeft, husband, John Stell, Jr., brothers, Donald Kent Bredehoeft and Kenneth Stuart Bredehoeft.Genevie is survived by three nieces, Donna Rush and husband, Bobby, Judy Marquess and husband (Steve) and Genie Walters and husband, Kemble; Great Nieces Stephanie Throop and husband, Dustin, Caroline Kruger, Rachel Stidham and husband (Greg), and Jaime Walters McManus and husband, Brian; great nephew Kemble Walters and wife Jen; great-great nieces and nephews, Lizzy, Harlow, James, and Chase; two stepsons, Gary Alan Stell and Johnny Ray Stell and wife Eunice; grandchildren, Toby Stell and wife Sheila, Darrin Stell and wife Samantha, Kevin Stell, Shane Stell, Gary Stell, Jr. and wife Angela, Toli Stell, Beth Stell Worthley, Regina Stell Straut and husband B.J., Johnna Stell, and Lyndsey Stell Maggard and husband John; great-grandchildren Shelby, Montana, Becka, Jack, John, Corey, Megan, Patrick, Carson, Isaac, Shane, Jr., Sadie, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Syndney, Mary, Lyndsey, Cody, Corbin, Caylee, Camryn, Kyleigh, and Chris.Services will be held 12:30 PM Monday, April 2, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with interment to follow. “Long time friends, Southern Baptist Convention officer, Dr. John L.Yeats and former Southern Baptist Convention President Dr. Tom D. Eliff will be officiating.”In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Genevie Stell’s name and honor to John 3:16 Mission in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
