I cannot believe this, her spirit must be traveling. Brenda was my best friend in high school, she helped me through some tough times and we keep in touch years after. 30 some years ago, I visited her and Brian shortly after the birth of their daughter and shared baby pictures of my baby son. Many years have passed and I had since lost touch.
Today I was looking through old recipes (and I have a huge stash of recipes) and came across a booklet of recipes from some old Broken Arrow fund raising campaign, I suppose. I have a couple pages from it and the recipe I came across and decided to make tonight was a favorite of Brian and Brenda's “fettuccine carbonara”. Looking at the recipe reminded me so of Brenda and I decided to google her name and lo and behold, found her obituary notice. I’m so sorry to her loved ones for your loss.
She’ll always be 17 and the bestest friend forever to me.
