Brian Thomas Brinker's Obituary
Brian Thomas Brinker, 49, peacefully passed away October 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born January 19, 1973, in Tulsa to Thomas and Judith Brinker.
Brian graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. At the time of his passing, he was a senior software engineer for the Bank of Oklahoma, where he had worked since 2010.
Brian married Monique (Idoux) Brinker in 2012, and their son Benjamin was born in 2014. Together, they built a happy family who enjoyed spending time together. Whether he was coaching Benjamin’s soccer team, riding bikes, playing video games, or taking family trips, it didn’t matter to Brian as long as they were together.
Brian’s greatest joy was being a husband and father. He was also an avid Star Wars fan and loved fantasy and science fiction. As a computer enthusiast, he liked keeping up-to-date on technological issues and was the resident “IT expert” for family and friends. He liked history and always wanted to know more and learn more about historical figures and events.
Brian will be remembered for his selfless, giving nature, always putting others before himself. Brian had a sharp, smart sense of humor that made everyone around him laugh. He was generous and always ready to help. He was a loyal friend, a devoted husband and father, and a cherished family member.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Judith. Brian is survived by his wife of 10 years, Monique; his son, Benjamin; his brother Erich and sister-in-law Karla; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on November 4, 2022, at the Church of Saint Benedict. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Porta Caeli House at https://portacaeli.org/support-our-work/donate/
