Brian Heideman's Obituary
Brian John Heideman entered life eternal on January 13, 2019.Brian was born on February 23, 1959 to Antone and Betty Olson Heideman in Watseka, IL. His family moved to Gibson City, IL when his father opened McCord Auto Supply. He graduated from Gibson City High School in 1976. While in school Brian was on the football and wrestling team. He was a co-captain of his football team and advanced to the state tournament in wrestling.He joined the Navy in 1977 and served as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. Petty Officer Heideman was honorably discharged in 1981 after advancing to an Aviation Structural Mechanic Second Class. Brian then returned to Gibson City and joined his family at McCord Auto Supply and worked there until the family sold the business in 2000.Brian enrolled in Spartan School of Aeronautics and earned his Aviation Maintenance, Airframe & Powerplant license. He began working for Omni Air International as an aviation mechanic and later a supervisor. In the course of his career he was able to travel to many exotic locations. He spent time in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Dubai, Singapore, Anchorage, Hawaii, Guam, Turkey, India, Ireland and many, many more places that we can remember. He truly enjoyed his career and all the people he met along his journeys.Brian married the love of his life, Robin Messick on June 16, 1984. They were blessed with 4 children; Nicole Rankin, Chuck Taylor, Kevin Heideman and Kyle Heideman and 7 grandchildren; Taylor Stirsman, Jouney Stirsman, Riley Stirsman, Dallas Rankin, Levi Heideman, Annalynn Heideman and Rydr Heideman.Brian was beyond happy when the Cubs won the pennant and heartbroken a few weeks ago by his beloved Bears.Brian is survived by his children and grandchildren, sister Kathy Heideman Stiebner, brother Tony Heideman, Jr., sister-in-law Debbie Coile, niece Brandi Burleson, nephews Brady Coile, Matt Heideman and Cody Stiebner. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and his beloved wife.A memorial service will be held on Saturday Jan 19 at 12:30 at Floral Haven Chapel 6500 S 129th E Ave in Broken Arrow OK 74012 with a reception immediately following in the family center. Services will be held in Illinois in the near future and will be announced later.
