BROWN – Bill W., 72, Broken Arrow, retired State Farm agent, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at home. He was preceded in death by: his parents, W.M. and Irene Brown, Tulsa; and sister, Doris Brown Gustafson, Phoenix. He was the loving husband of and is survived by his wife, Kay Fichthorn Brown, after a wonderful marriage of 51 years. He was the proud father of Jeffrey W. Brown, his wife, Valerie Brown, and Paul Brown, his wife, Katherine Brown. His grandchildren, Rebecca and Jacob Brown, were the apple of his eye. He is also survived by: Sharon Brown Peters, sister, Oklahoma City; Larry Gustafson, brother-in-law, Phoenix; and numerous nephews and nieces. Bill was born February 15, 1936 in Madill, OK. He attended Mingo Elementary School, old East Central High School, and graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1967 with an Economics degree. He served 6 years in the Air National Guard. He taught Distributive Education in Broken Arrow for 1 year. He was employed by State Farm Insurance Company for 35 years. Funeral services were held at 3 P.M., on Friday, February 22, at Floral Haven Chapel, Broken Arrow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Hospice, P.O. Box 33234, Tulsa, OK 74153-1234.
