Bruce Randall Walker's Obituary
Bruce Randall Walker
March 14, 1951 - January 24, 2026
Bruce Randall Walker, 74, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on January 24, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 14, 1951, to Eugene and Frances Walker, Bruce lived a life marked by service, curiosity, humor, and a youthful spirit that never faded.
Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army as part of the artillery in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Blackhorse Regiment of the 11th Armored Cavalry, an experience that shaped his strength, resilience, and deep sense of camaraderie.
After his military service, Bruce built a long and dedicated career as a mechanic with American Airlines, where he eventually retired. His love of airplanes never dimmed—he could talk about them for hours, and he never lost the childlike wonder they inspired in him. In truth, Bruce remained a big 12‑year‑old at heart: playful, mischievous, endlessly curious, and always ready with a joke.
He loved the beach, where he found peace in the sound of the waves. He enjoyed firearms, aviation, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs with unwavering enthusiasm. His laughter was unmistakable, his humor infectious, and his presence unforgettable.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Hope Walker; his daughter, Shelli Davis, and Andy Taylor; his brother, Keith Walker; his sister, Lauren Detar; and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Bruce lived boldly, loved deeply, and laughed often. His spirit will be missed, but the stories he leaves behind will continue to bring smiles for years to come.
