Buell "Bud" Laverne Beard's Obituary
Buell (Bud) Laverne Beard, 97, owner of Square Deal Auto Parts and a U.S. Army Veteran passed away peacefully on August 15, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. He was born May 13, 1920 in Morris, Oklahoma to Ross and Pammy Beard. Buddy proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. Buddy began working with his father in the salvage business after the war. He went on to own and operate the family business that began in 1928 through January 2006 when he retired. Bud and Sandy were married on February 24, 1979. Buddy was an avid car collector, he also collected items of transportation, including trains, airplanes and various other toys and antiques. Buddy also enjoyed traveling with his family. He visited Hershey, Pennsylvania more than a dozen times.He is survived by his wife, Sandy Beard; daughter, Stormi Hunter; daughter, Dawn Hathcoat and her husband Eric; eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; Brother, Bill Beard; sister, Marjorie Maxey. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Pammy Beard; son Ted Beard; son, Gary Beard.Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 20th, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM, Monday, August 21st, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. With Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Beard, Johnny Beard, Jason Beard, Mike Mendenhall, Dale Merrell, and Joey Schertz.
