Buriel "Dee" Ridgway Jr.'s Obituary
Buriel “Dee” Ridgway Jr, 64, born October 14, 1950, passed from this life, October 28, 2014. Dee, who was a pharmacist, owned and operated Ken’s Pharmacy in West Tulsa for 15 years. He was a proud Westsider. “We know many of the people and you just can’t help but take a personal interest in each and every one of them.” ( Quote from a newspaper article on Ken’s Pharmacy). Dee was a deacon at Calvary Tabernacle in Tulsa. He was a pillar to family, church and community. Dee is survived by his mother, Lois Ridgway; loving wife, Dorothy Ridgway; his daughters, Leslie Nix and husband, Myles, and Rebecca Felkins and husband, Danny; 5 grandchildren, Owen Nix, Sadie Nix, Josiah Felkins, Sethan Felkins, and Zoe Felkins. Dee is preceded in death by his father, Buriel Ridgway Sr; his brothers, Patrick and James Ridgway. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 12:00 pm ~ 8:00 PM, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A celebration of life memorial service will be held, Saturday, November 1, 2014, 3:00 pm, at the Calvary Tabernacle, 5118 W. 63rd Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. A private committal service is scheduled, at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
