C. Dale McDoulett Jr.'s Obituary
C.D. (Dale) McDoulett, Jr. was born December 28, 1944, in Duncan, OK. He was the son of Claude and Irma McDoulett. He attended and graduated from Duncan High School in 1963. He attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1967 with a BBA, and in 1970 with a JD. He also attained his CPA while in law school. Upon graduation, he moved to Tulsa and joined the law firm of Holliman, Langholz, Runnels, and Dorwart and became a partner in 1975. In 1976 he joined Falcon Coal Co. in Lexington, KY as Vice President. Diamond Shamrock Oil Co. merged with Falcon and Dale was moved to Dallas in 1981; first as Director of Planning and Development, then as the President of their new International Oil Unit. In 1987 he was asked to return to Lexington to become President and CEO of Spendthrift Thoroughbred Horse Farm, which he took through bankruptcy and found new owners. In 1990 he moved backed to Tulsa and joined Kaiser Francis Oil Co. where he was in charge of mergers and acquisitions. He was involved with purchase of the Bank of Oklahoma. In 1992 he became President and CEO of North American Platinum and Palladium Mining Co. He retired in 1996. In his retirement he was CFO of a small cement testing equipment business. For twenty-two years he served as a trustee of the University of Oklahoma Foundation. While Dale was in law school he was the first treasurer of the Foundation. He also served on the Bank of Oklahoma Board of Directors. Surviving Dale is his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth, son Tony and wife Kelly; son Scott and wife Cindy and six wonderful grandchildren, Madison, Blake, Kyle, Todd, Tyler and Karoline. Dale was so proud of his family, especially since he was an only child. He adored his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at St. Francis ICU for all the expert and compassionate care given to Dale.
