Candace Ann Ortega's Obituary
Candace Ann Ortega left this world to join her loved ones in heaven on May 11, 2015 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 58. Candace was born on April 12, 1957 in Oklahoma City Tinker Air Force Base, OK to Robert and Paula Jean Harris. She graduated High School in Casa Grande, AZ. Due To Her Father’s Devotion to the United States Air force, Candace grew up traveling the world. And as an adult she continued to travel the United States. In 2003 She moved to Tulsa to be closer to her sister Pamela S. Clark; to help ease the pain of the loss of her son. Her daughter Brandy Harris remembers her as a tough and stubborn mom who encouraged both kids to pursue their goals. Candace was accomplished nurse and often sang at church. She was a generous individual who loved her family and who was passionate about her grandchildren. She loved meeting new people and drinking her favorite soda’s, she loved trying new things with the family. She was always smiling and happy. She could make you laugh within seconds. She was always doing funny things to keep a smile on your face. And she was always right no matter what. She’s a good loving caring person she would give her last to anyone in need. She loved the lord with all her heart and people who didn’t believe she would talk and pray with them to change their minds. Through tough times and all her faith never waivered. Candace is survived by daughter, Brandy; grandkids; Robert Pennington, Katie Baez, Destiny Pennington, Trisha Foote and Shariah Ogans; great grandchild, Naomi Baez; brother, Jeff Harris; brother, Philip Cazares; and brother, Frank Cazares. She is preceded in death by father, Robert L Harris; mother, Paula Jean Harris; sister Pamela S Clark; brothers, Bobby Harris and Glenn Harris; Son, Joshua Caleb Ogans.. A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 16, 2015 at New Covenant Bible Church 4800 South Yukon Tulsa, Oklahoma 74107, with a reception to follow at Dedra’s House. Pastor James Lacey will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Candace’s life.
