Carl Dean Baxter Jr's Obituary
Carl Dean Baxter, Jr. Carl Dean Baxter, Jr. was born on October 19, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully on August 16, 2011 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was known as 'Deano' to his family and many of his friends. Dean graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa and was a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He also graduated from North Central University, Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a BS in Pastoral Studies. He continued to study at various seminaries and at the University of Louisville. Lastly, he received a Masters of Business Administration in Health Services in June of 2010 from Strayer University in Louisville. He was employed at National Payment Accounting Services as an Insurance Adjustment Coordinator in Louisville. Dean was an avid sports fan and especially loved Major League Baseball and Oklahoma Sooners and pro football. He practiced physical fitness and martial arts and achieved black belts in Taekwondo and Judo. He is survived by his children, Paul and Mindy, and his ex-wife Sylvia Ives in Louisville, his father, Carl Dean Baxter, Sr. and his mother, Judy Johnson of Tulsa. Also survived by his sister, Melissa Hays of Amarillo, Texas, his brother, Chris Baxter of San Antonio, Texas, aunts Jody Brook of Broken Arrow and Betty Gower of Tulsa, many cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as many friends and colleagues. Funeral Service 12:30 Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
