Carl Leon Mowery's Obituary
Carl Leon Mowery, a resident of Collinsville, passed away February 28, 2018 at the age of 82. He was born April 28, 1935 to George Washington Mowery and Ruth Helen (Hyatt) Mowery in Odessa, Texas. Carl worked as a sheet metal specialist. He enjoyed fishing, being a comedian, watching sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs, playing card games, playing pool and dancing. His greatest love was being a father to many. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.He was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington Mowery and Ruth Helen Mowery and sister, Colleen Gray.Survivors include his daughter, Carla Sue Mowery; sons, Richard and William Ryan and their mother, Brenda Fears; daughters, Stephanie “Aka, Little Bit” Elder and Bonnie Kerr Henson; his significant other, Diane Henson; sister, Lorraine Henderson and husband, Gene Henderson; brothers, Gene, Ronnie and Terry Mowery and numerous other relatives and friends.Viewing will be held Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Johnson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow.Pallbearers will be Carla Mowery, Stephanie Elder, Danny Moore, Rick Ryan, Bill Ryan, Bonnie Kerr, Don Fears and Max Moore.Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army.
