Carl Junior Rowan's Obituary
Carl Junior Rowan, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away February 25, 2020 at the age of 69. He was born August 17, 1950 to Alvis Carl Rowan and Ella Mae (Byfield) Rowan in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He met his wife, June of 1967 and married on April 4, 1970. They would had been 50 years this April. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He first started out working for Dickman Glass Co in Muskogee, then Empire Roofing in Tulsa, Hillenberg Pipe and Supply in Broken Arrow. Carl retired in 2011 from Ford Glass Plant, which he worked there for 32 years as a packer and glass inspector. Carl enjoyed helping the Broken Arrow FFA kids and attending pig shows. He raised registered Beagles and running Beagle Trials. He enjoyed working the wrecker at the Tulsa Speedway Race Track where he then eventually helped his own kids with their odyssey race cars for several years. Also helping others at the race track. He enjoyed fishing, hunting rabbits and deers and camping but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Alvis Carl Rowan and Ella Mae Rowan and sister, Virginia (Ginger) Whitehead.
Survivors include his loving wife, Beverly Rowan; son, Donny Rowan and wife, Stephanie; son, Berry Rowan and wife, Karen; daughter, Tammy Foster and husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Zach and his wife Cheyene, Tory, Jacob, Jalynn, Bryan, Savanna, Tanner, Hunter, Tatum and Jentry; great grandchildren, Harper and Xoey; brother, Lonnie Rowan and wife, Brenda; sister, Linda Wilson; brother, Jimmy Roho Rowan; brother-in-law, Jim Whitehead; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
