Carla Jean Fuller's Obituary
Obituary – Carla Jean Fuller
Carla was born on March 20, 1959, and arrived in Heaven on February 8, 2023. Carla was the daughter of LaMoine and Ruby Fuller.
Carla made friends wherever she went. Carla loved people and was always happy to have visitors come by her home. She wasn’t always very talkative but before you would leave, she would always want to know if you could leave her a dollar. Carla loved to play games and was quite a gracious winner. She would laugh when she won and just wanted to play again if she didn’t win. She also liked to work jigsaw puzzles and was very accomplished at working them. Carla loved to visit her many aunts, uncles, and cousins around Bryan / College Station, Texas and she especially loved going to her church where she would sing her solo of “Jesus Loves Me.”
Carla faced many challenges in her life while suffering from seizures and complex medical issues. She always came through these challenges with resilience and fortitude and inspired those that knew her.
Carla was predeceased by her father, LaMoine Fuller, a sister-in-law, Ann, as well as grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as her longtime roommate and friend, Kathy Biggs. She is survived by her mother, Ruby Fuller; her brother, Tom (affectionately known as Tommy) and his wife Terri; her nephews, Bryan Fuller, Brett Fuller and his wife Taylor, and Taylor Huddleston and his wife Shai. She also had three great nieces, Dakota Fuller, Blake Fuller and Hadley Huddleston and two great nephews, Austin Fuller and Krew Huddleston. Carla is also survived by a number of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Carla was privileged to be served by numerous loving, compassionate and talented caregivers, therapist, case workers, program coordinators and medical professionals throughout her lifetime. Although there are far too many to name them individually; however, her family truly appreciates each and every one of them. For many years now, Carla was provided residential care in her home by Independent Opportunities, Inc. and nursing care in her home by Aall Care Home Health. These providers were with Carla twenty-four hours a day which allowed Carla to live her life independently in the community. Her family thanks you very much!
