Carlos Leroy "Russ" Russell's Obituary
Carlos Leroy “Russ” Russell was born on April 17, 1931 to his parents George and Elma Russell. Russ began service with the Army from 1951 to 1952 during the Korean War and proceeded to join the Air Force from 1953 to 1957. Russ married Mary Holder on August 15, 1976. He retired in 1993 after working for Safety Glove as an outside salesman. Russ loved the finest things in life which were mainly golfing, fishing, and outdoor yard work, but above all he cherished his family and they cherished him especially for his humor. He survived by his wife, Mary Russell of Tulsa, his brother, Roger Russell of Issaquah, WA, his 4 daughters Janet (Rick) Armstrong of Wichita, Debbie (Kevin) Marks of Wichita, Kathy (Scott) Jewett of Wichita, and Tammy (Lawrence) Randall of Tulsa, his son Doug (Vanessa) Russell of Wichita, his 5 granddaughters Rochelle (Justin) Leep of Wichita, Lindsay (Scott) Evans of Owasso, Amanda Slagle of Bartlesville, Emily Smith of Wichita, Megan (Xavier) Taft of Tulsa, his grandson, Alex Smith of Wichita, and 5 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to the Clarehouse of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
