Carol Hays' Obituary
Carol Jene Hays, 88, was born on August 29, 1930 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma and passed away on November 13, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.Carol was a good and faithful servant of her Lord, her church, her family, and her friends. She was loved by all. In fact, it’s often been said that it was impossible to meet Carol and not take an immediate liking to her.Carol worked as a Registered Nurse for 25 years. She retired as head nurse in the postpartum department from St. John Medical Center.Outside of work, Carol was very dedicated to Memorial Baptist Church were she was a member for over 60 years- volunteering as a camp leader for Camp Fire, working in the church nursery, sharing her talents in the choir, preparing dinners and desserts for various occasions and for those in need, and making quilts.She will be greatly missed.She is preceded in death by her parents Albert William Brock and Arnita Jay Carroll; and her loving husband Charles Clifton Hays.She is survived by her daughter Marsha and husband Philip Whitney; daughter Debra Joy Hays; grandson Ryan Whitney; sister Joy Nall Patterson; nieces Cathi Nall and Cindy Brannnon; nephew Brock Nall; brother in law Don Hays; special friends Nancy Care and family; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and her church family of Memorial Baptist Church.Special thanks extended to the nurses and doctors of St. John, Forest Hills, and St. Francis for their excellent and dedicated care of Carol during her final months. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 18 from 4 pm – 7pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will take place at 1 pm on Monday, November 19 at Memorial Baptist Church.
