Carol Ann Reid's Obituary
Carol Ann Reid was born February 14, 1931 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and passed away January 29, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carol was the youngest of two children born to Nicholas and Marie Gian. She was raised in Sheboygan and graduated from Niles High School. After graduation Carol went on to nursing school and obtained her degree as a Registered Nurse. For several years Carol worked as a nurse on the Santa Fe Railroad. Her time traveling would later her bring her to Oklahoma where she spent most of her career working as a R.N. for Doctors Hospital in Tulsa; and she eventually retired in 1992 as a school nurse with Tulsa Public Schools. After her retirement Carol stayed busy volunteering her time with Meals On Wheels and administering vaccinations at several different clinics in the Tulsa area. Carol married the love of her life John Edward Reid on September 21, 1957. Together the couple raised their two children. Carol was a devout Catholic and was a long time parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church. Carol was known for her caring, strong, creative, supportive and energetic personality. She loved spending her time sewing, reading and cooking. She loved listening to Big Band and 1940’s music. There will be services scheduled at a later date.
