January 28th, 2024, the angels got singing lessons. Our beautiful, sweet, talented mother, aunt, grandmother, sister-in-law, and friend (Carol) Jeanne Meaders Wilson, 79 of Broken Arrow, OK is with all of our loved ones and our beloved father who finished the earthly race ahead of her.
Jeanne was born in Duncan Oklahoma to Wayne and Peggy Meaders on January 6th, 1945. She grew up in Frederick Oklahoma and still kept in touch with many of her treasured high school friends. She married Edward "Eddie" Wilson, on January 30th, 1963. They had many adventures together over the next 59 years.
Jeanne graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in music from Tulsa University and went on to become a teacher for Tulsa Public Schools for 19 years.
She was known for her beautiful voice which she used to glorify and praise God in many capacities in her church. She also sang in the chorus for the Tulsa Opera on occasion.
She was a special and dynamic woman loved by so many people. She walked with God and was a radiant light to everyone who knew her. The family is so thankful for all of your prayers and support during this brief battle with cancer. Please know she loved you with all her heart. She went peacefully surrounded by her loving family. We will miss her so.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eddie, sister Susie Carmichael, and brother Jerry Meaders. She is survived by her son, Ted Wilson; daughters, Wendy Hudson (Jim) and Carissa Hamel (Derrick) grandchildren, Jordan Wilson, Evan Wilson, Danni Wilson, Teddy Wilson, Taryn Harrison-McClain (Brian), Skylar McClain, Isaiah Murillo, Daniel Murillo, Andrew Murillo, Jesse Murillo, and Connor Hamel; five great-grandchildren and many more family members that she loved dearly.
