Carole L. Greaves' Obituary
Carole L. Greaves, retired from Ryder Truck Rental, born 9-14-1923 on Magnolia Oil Co. Lease north of Yale, OK to George F and Mary H Cline. Her earthly life ended and her heavenly journey began January 4, 2017 at the age of 93. Member of Asbury United Methodist Church since Nov. 1974, where, with her husband Robert, led Bible study groups and “Couple to Couple” ministry, a requirement to marry at Asbury. She volunteered at The Little Lighthouse, Children’s Medical Charities for 17 years, and Southcrest Hospital, receiving the Presidential Award for volunteers in 2011 for hours volunteered. Preceding: her parents; sister Dorothy Tos L. Duilio; brother George D. Cline and his son Donald; sister Elsie (George) Wilson; sister Eleda-2 days before her 100th birthday on 12/4/2015- (Curtis) Black; niece Garaline (Dwayne) Routh; Bobby Lee Edgar; and Robert O. Greaves, her best friend, the love of her life, and husband of 34 years, preceding her on November 13, 2013. Surviving: daughter Mona L. (Alan) Jones, son Tracy Stephen (Debbie) Edgar, Robert’s son Roy (Molly) Greaves. Grandchildren: Christopher Jones, Kimberly Jones, Stephanie (Tony) Estep, Evan Greaves, Brittney G. (Travis) Christensen. Great grandchildren: Olivia Estep, Dillon Christensen, Madeleine Jane Christensen. Nieces: Mary M. (Dale) Brown, Jeanie (Jimmy) White. Special: Joyce G. (David) Baggerly, her friend since high school Betty C. Hardgrove, and many other treasured friends. Service: January 16, 2017 at 1:00, Asbury Mason Chapel, 6767 Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK. In lieu of flowers, give donations to Dr. William Mason’s Scholarship Fund or a charity of your choice. Interment: Second Field of Honor Corps, Floral Haven Memorial Park, Broken Arrow, OK.
