Carole Ann Thompson's Obituary
Carole Ann Thompson, 64, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. She was born in Flagler, Colorado, on April 12, 1950, the daughter of Stanley and Ethel Lucile Ozmun. On March 15, 1975, she married Ken Thompson, the love of her life, in Wichita, Kansas. Carole received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University, later receiving her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. She then worked at TCC for 29 years as a nursing instructor, as well as division chair. She was passionate about nursing and enjoyed sharing that passion with her students. Carole was an active member of First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow, having taught Sunday School and sung in the choir. Not only did she enjoy music by singing in the church choir, she also played the piano and the flute. She loved animals and gardening, but mostly liked spending time with her family. Carole was a dedicated wife, sister, professional, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Ken Thompson, mother, Lucile Ozmun, of Jewell, Kansas, brother, Ralph Ozmun, and his wife, Lula, of Morristown, Tennessee, sister-in-law, Chris Brown, and her husband, Carl, of Ocala, Florida, and her beloved dogs, Boomer and Sooner. She was preceded in death by her father, sister, Iris Ozmun, and infant brother, Gail Ozmun.
