Carole J Whiten's Obituary
Carole Jean Whiten born on May 7, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John H. Whiten and Elsie Grace Norton- Whiten. She left this life on April 19, 2025 to be with her Lord and Savior. Carole was a beloved sister, aunt, and friend. Carole was preceded in death by her mother Elsie Norton-Whiten, her father John Herman Whiten, her sister Francis Wilson, her brother John H Whiten Jr., and her sister Beverly Ann Whiten-Carter. She passed peacefully at Emerald Care Nursing Center with family by her side.
Carole graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, OK. She began to work at Dillard's in the hat department. Later, she worked at the Tulsa Scottish Rite until she retired.
Carole was an excellent seamstress and artist. She owned a kiln and fired ceramics. She painted beautiful oil paintings. She crocheted, crafted jewelry, painted birdhouses and so many wonderful things. Her artistic gifts were shared with those she was in the nursing home with, as she often taught those around her how to make something fun and whimsical.
Carole attended a Baptist church for years where she taught mentally and physically disabled adults. She loved having the opportunity to share Christ with her class. Later in life she taught children at Ridge Crest Baptist Church.
Carole was survived by 6 nephews Michael Wilson, Wes Wilson, Blake Wilson, John Wiley, Ron Wiley, and Randy Whiten, and 1 niece, Melanie Sanders. She had many great nieces and nephews.
Carole's life was a testament of someone who served others in kindness using the creative gifts that God gave her to spread joy and love to others in a unique way. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
