Caroline M. Sejera, 79, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013.Caroline was a lifelong entrepreneur and philanthropist that was passionate about her family, faith, business, and education.She was born in Delano, CA and remained a native Californian until she retired in Bella Vista, AR in 2008.Caroline was a member of the Bella Vista Lutheran Church and frequently volunteered at Corcordia Retirement Community in Bella Vista.Caroline started her career as a nurse, entered into real estate, started a successful land development and property management company, owned and operated an independent hotel and horse ranch. She founded the Central Coast Rescue Mission of Santa Maria, CA, that provides refuge, recovery, and restoration services to the poor, needy, and substance dependent.Caroline is survived by four children: Andra Sejera of Tulsa, Sharene Salinas of Arroyo Grande, Mario Sejera of Arroyo Grande, and Shane Sejera of Reedsport. Nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive her.She served as the Matriarch of her family and the lynchpin that held everyone together in good and bad times.Her spirit of strength, independence, perseverance, wisdom, love, and ability to overcome was an inspiration and has left an indelible mark on everyone she loved. She was adored and will be greatly missed.In addition to flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Central Coast Rescue Mission in her honor.A viewing will be held at 10AM Sunday at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
