Carolyn Jean Brown's Obituary
Carolyn Jean Asher Brown, affectionately known as “Mema” by her family and friends, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, at the age of 83 in Taunton, Massachusetts. She was born in Upland, California on December 20, 1942 to Frank Lee Asher and Marcella Grace Lowell Prueitt. Carolyn lived a life centered around family, friendship, and creating treasured memories with those she loved.
Carolyn found her greatest happiness in time spent with family and friends. She especially loved holiday gatherings filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. She was a great cook and was very creative. She cut hair for many years in Broken Arrow and owned her own beauty shop. She also enjoyed living at the lake, fishing, and the simple pleasures of sharing life with those she cared about most. Her kindness, love, and devotion to family will be remembered always.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Asher and Marcella Prueitt; step father Max Prueitt; her sisters, Beverly Polacek and Arlene Keegan; and her beloved husband, Eugene Brown.
Carolyn is lovingly survived by her son, Danny Brown and his wife Lisa; her daughter, Donna Wilson and her husband Alistair. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Ashley Breedlove and fiancé Charlie Patch, Daniel Brown and wife Alwyn, Cody Breedlove and wife Amy, Rebecca Hing and husband Damion, Alex Wilson and fiancé Sean Vacher, and Sarah Brown. She also leaves behind her nine cherished great-grandchildren: Rylynn and Eslynn Brown, Alexandria and Manasseh Hing, Olivia Parlow, Brantley Allen, Kinley and Georgia-Grace Breedlove, and Elliot Breedlove-Patch.
Services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on June 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
Carolyn will be deeply missed and forever remembered fondly by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
