Carolyn G. Keele's Obituary
Carolyn went to be with her Lord at 8:30 p.m. on August 2, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Okla. Carolyn’s Breast Cancer was in remission for 7 years. She was diagnosed in May, 2015, with Metastatic Breast Carcinoma that Metastasized to the bones and other parts of her body. Carolyn was the daughter of Paul and Inez Lemon, born in Tulsa, on March 8, 1941, and was nick named “Cotton” at young age. She is survived by her loving husband Harley, brother Paul “Buster” Lemon of Okmulgee and many nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and brother-in-law of which she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley Ingold. Carolyn married Harley Keele on May 27, 1960, and it was a fairy tale & wonderful life, full of love. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Broken Arrow, and came to know the Lord as her Saviour, at an early age Carolyn was a Homemaker first, a Secretary for a local Law firm, the Land Department of a Drilling company and local Industrial Engineer Department. Harley & Carolyn retired in 1986, and enjoyed many wonderful years together in retirement. They thanked the Lord for the time they shared and felt they were truly blessed during those years. Carolyn loved children and they all ran to her even if she had never met them. She had a heart condition, that prevented her from having children of our own, but were blessed with many nieces and nephews. She was a good golfer, liked to crappie fish, created beautiful hand work and loved reading, just to name a few of her hobbies. Carolyn enjoyed remodeling a house or building a new one just to decorate. She was wonderful at organizing and arranging items in her home.Private Service was Tuesday, August 4th, 2015. No other services are planned. Interment Park Grove.
