Carolyn June Lightfoot Ryan's Obituary
She was born, Carolyn June Lightfoot on March 5, 1941, to Earnest Irving (Barney) and Nellie Juanita (Frew) Lightfoot. She was the first born, of four children to this union. She attended Rogers High School, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Ronald E. Ryan on December 26, 1977. He had three children and she had four. Their marriage lasted 26 years. His passing was May 14, 2004. She was a member of Tulsa International Church of Christ, where she had an extended loving famiy that she loved dearly. She was known and loved by her expertise in seeing that everyone had a “hand-made” Christmas stocking that she so loving spent many hours making. She will live on thru our hearts every year when they are hung. A proud tradition that was passed on from her mother. She was known to the children of her church family as “Grandma Carol”, with names too numerous to mention, but all of them were greatly loved and cherished. A funeral service will be held January 8, 2005 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 6500 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at 12:30 p.m., graveside service, a time for fellowship and a meal will follow in the Family Center for those wishing to attend. All are welcome.Survived By: She has four children: Donnie Jackson, Vicki Barnes, Ronnie Jackson and Larry Jackson. Son-in-law: Keith Barnes; three grandchildren: D.J. Coats, Jason Coates, and Tania Jackson. She has two great grandchildren: Caleb Coats and Abby Coats, all of Tulsa. She is also survived by Brother: Jerry and Kathleen Lightfoot of Edmond, Oklahoma; Sister, Connie and Everett “Bud” Kallam of Oologah, Oklahoma; Brother: Danny and Camille Lightfoot of Cleveland, Oklahoma. Nephews: Joe Lightfoot and family of Houston, Texas, Jeff Lightfoot of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tim Anderson and family of Owasso, Oklahoma, Mark Kallam and family of Claremore, Oklahoma, Nieces: Sheri, Shawn and Austin Potts, Karen McDowell of Oologah, Oklahoma, Robin Starns and family of Drumright, Oklahoma, And 11 great nieces and nephews One Aunt: Wanda (Frew) Gordon of New Mexico, One Uncle: Herschel Pannell of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also had two “sisters-in-laws: Pat McLaughlin and family of Prague, Oklahoma, Jan Gotcher and family of Edmond, Oklahoma; Three Stepchildren: Robbie, Shelley, and Renee and families living in Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald E. Ryan a retired Police Officer with the City of Tulsa; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ryan of Okemah; her parents Mr. and Mrs. Barney Lightfoot of Tulsa; her grandparents: Merit and Clara Lightfoot, Harry A. and Sallie Redus Frew all of Tulsa.
