Carolyn Liptrap's Obituary
Sue was born in Pryor, OK but grew up in Tulsa, OK. She graduated from Will Rogers High School and later received an Associate's Degree from Tulsa Junior College. Her professional career path led her to the oil and gas business where she worked in Tulsa for many years. She began an assignment as records coordinator working in many locations from Alaska to Louisiana finally settling in the Houston area. Although Sue worked for several firms in Houston, she was to retire soon from EOG Resources. Sue was active in many organizations where ever she lived. While in Oklahoma, she was Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star of Broken Arrow as well as a member of the Gold Wing Roadriders Association. In The Woodlands area, she was an Elder of her church, The Woodlands Christian church (Disciples of Christ), and a Stephens Minister. She was a member of The Woodlands Chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association, and volunteered for various charities including the local pregnancy crisis center. She will be missed by so many that loved her and that she loved. Sue is preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Jenkins of Tulsa, OK, her brother, Jimmy Jenkins of Tulsa, OK, and her grandson, Parker Rice of Tulsa, OK. She is survived by her husband, John Liptrap of The Woodlands, TX, her father, Arlon Jenkins of Claremore, OK, her son, Robert Comstock of Tulsa, OK, her daughter, Judy Rice and partner, Pat Mitchell of Tulsa, OK, her step son, Earl Liptrap of The Woodlands, TX, her step daughter, Kathryn Liptrap of The Woodlands, TX, her granddaughter, Jessica Rice of Tulsa, OK, her step grandson, Michael Liptrap of The Woodlands, TX, her sister, Shirley Metzger and husband, Mark of Broken Arrow, OK, her sister, Irene Green and husband, Tom of Owasso, OK, and her niece, Terrie Bogle, and nephew, Tom McCarver. Funeral Service to be held 12:30p.m., Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stephens Ministry.
