Carolyn Jean Patterson's Obituary
Carolyn Jean Patterson
Carolyn Jean Patterson entered the kingdom of heaven on Saturday, December 4, 2021, after seventy-nine years as an Oklahoma resident and the matriarch of the Patterson family. Born on September 3, 1942, and raised in West Tulsa, Carolyn spent many years caring for her family, friends, and members of the community having retired as an LPN.
Carolyn was a graduate of Webster High School class of 1960. Carolyn married her high school sweetheart, Edward Lewis Patterson June 24 of the same year and celebrated 65 years of life, love, and building their family. During their granddaughter’s wedding, Carolyn & Ed were the last two on the dancefloor during a “longest married couple” dance. This was truly beautiful to witness to all in attendance as a true testimony to a love that lasts throughout the years.
Carolyn was an avid bowler, prankster, and fan of many sports and games. Just one week ago, she gave her blessings equally to both Oklahoma teams before the Bedlam game so as not to upset the delicate bond between her house-divided children.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Morgan Wendell and Oleta Billie Phillips; Carolyn is survived by her husband Edward Lewis I and children Nina Doran and husband Tim, Rebecca Antle, and husband Rex Robbie, Edward Lewis Patterson II and wife Bonnie, and Andrea Holcomb and late husband Brian Kent.
Seven Grandchildren: Brent, Kyle, Cara, Ethan, Griffin, Amanda, and Emily.
Eleven Great Grand Children: Taytin, Colton, Asher, Rayna, Hunter, Dax, Paisley, Langley, Layton, Eloise, and Michael.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 12:30 pm, Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow.
