Carolyn Louise Venable's Obituary
VENABLE, Carolyn Louise (Hite), 72, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, went to her heavenly home on March 28, 2018. She passed peacefully from this life at home, surrounded by her family that she dearly loved and who also loved her deeply.Carolyn was born in Pittsburg, KS, on July 13, 1945, the third of five children, to the late Clifford Elwood and Athena Mae (Billionis) Hite. She grew up in Tulsa and was owner/operator of Tastee Burger and Red Rooster restaurants, worked at Lowe’s and retired from Sears after many years. She was a longtime member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church. Carolyn loved life and enjoyed music, fishing, traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her large extended Greek family.Carolyn was preceded in death by husband, Pless R. Venable; her parents, Clifford and Athena (Billionis) Hite; brother, Harold Hite; aunts and uncles. She is survived by: three sons: Pat Kannady, Chris Kannady and his wife Carrie, Lee Kannady; a daughter, Lori Rifai and her fiancé Howard Lemon; eight grandchildren: Justin Kannady, Taylor Kannady and his wife Brandy, Waylon Kannady, Jessica Ford, Haley Kannady, Osama “Sam” Rifai, Marcus Rifai and his wife Shelby, Ashaya Rifai, five great-grandchildren: Jerilee, Willow Ford, Stellan, Willow Noel, Milo; a brother Clifford Hite and his wife Velma; two sisters, Rena Guffey, Donna Martin and her husband Joe; uncle, Bob Billionis; aunt, Joyce Gorney; five nieces, four nephews, and numerous cousins and friends.Carolyn will be remembered for her generous and loving spirit, contagious laugh, and she’ll be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
