Caroylin Ann Jones' Obituary
Caroylin Jones, 72 of Broken Arrow, OK formerly of Yukon, OK passed away peacefully at her memory care facility on October 12, 2017.Caroylin was born on November 14, 1944 in Moro Arkansas. She graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, AR in 1962. She promptly moved to California and lived there until she joined the United States Air Force in January, 1963. While in the Air Force she met fellow Airman Monroe L. Jones on a blind date. They were married February 8, 1965. Upon receiving their honorable discharges in March 1965, they made their home in Carthage, Mo. Three children were born of this union; daughter Kelly Jones of Bartlesville, OK, son Gordon Jones and son Grant Jones of Tulsa, OK.Caroylin spent most of her life as a homemaker and master gardener. She enjoyed baking and reading and her cats. She often stated the only reason her sons made it to adulthood is because she could “Get Rid” of her frustrations with them by digging in the dirt. Later in life, she enjoyed being a cashier at Wal-Mart, where she was able to keep connected with the friends of her children and watch the ones in Yukon grow into adulthood. Caroylin was known for her beautiful yard, her kind heart, her humor, and her love for her family and her pride of her children.Caroylin was preceded in death by her parents Brice and Bonita (Childers) Lovell, her husband Monroe L. Jones and her brother Bruce Lovell.She is survived by her children, her brother Garner Lovell, sister Ruth Sharp, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and her granddogs and grandcats.Caroylin’s celebration of life will be held Wednesday October 18, 2017 at the Rose Chapel on the grounds of Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, OK. Her graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm in the Yukon Cemetery at Yukon, OK with full military honors.
