Carrie Marie McClure's Obituary
Carrie Marie McClure was born December 20, 1928 in Elkins, West Virginia and passed away July 4, 2017 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Carrie was married to the love of her life, Charles McClure. The couple was married for 62 years; until Charles passing in 2005. Carrie dedicated her life to caring for her family. She and Charles raised three children, Karen, Ward and Donnie. The most important thing to her was spending time with children and later her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and always loved making people laugh. She was outspoken and had a fun and ornery side! Carrie recently had the opportunity to travel with her family to West Virginia to spend time with her siblings and visit the area where she grew up. Carrie will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Carrie is preceded in passing by her husband, Charles McClure; parents, Wesley and Erma Swecker and her daughter, Karen Sue Embry. Carrie is survived by her son, Ward McClure; son Donnie McClure and his wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Charles Alan McClure, Anthony William McClure, Marci McClure, Jason McClure; great-grandchildren, Sydnee and Caden McClure; siblings, Guy Richard Swecker, Edward Lee Swecker, Paul Edgar Swecker, Kathleen May Maxson, Wesley Leon Swecker, Colletta Jean Oliver and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Baptist Village of Owasso In Lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society@ https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html
