Carrie Lou Puett's Obituary
Carrie Lou Puett was the youngest child of six born to John and Carrie Jane Puett on September 26, 1928 in Tulsa, OK.
Aunt Carrie, age 96, passed away peacefully into heaven on August 5, 2025 in Bella Vista, AR.
Carrie was a devoted and loving daughter taking care of her mother until her death in 1974. Carrie became the last surviving member of her family upon the death of her sister, Anna Mary, in 2007.
Carrie asked Jesus to be her savior at the young age of 12 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Tulsa. She had a strong faith, and her favorite word was “Believe”. Carrie was a proud member of Immanuel’s choir and liked to share favorite memories of singing in the choir and performing on trips to the west coast and New York.
Upon graduating from high school in 1946, Carrie was hired by TG&Y as a salesgirl behind their chocolate candies counter. Management quickly noticed her strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn, and she was promoted to office administrator for the store manager. Carrie was proud of her 45 year career at the TG&Y stores and rightfully so. Her favorite store location was at Utica Square in mid-town. Carrie would often share her many fond recollections of her working career.
She was an example of integrity, Christian values and her family was everything to her. Carrie was always eager to pray whenever there was a need. We could always count on her loving support.
In 2016, Carrie relocated to Bella Vista AR with family. Carrie was independent, resilient through life’s ups and downs and lived a life that was reflective of who she was. She was one of the few people who could adapt with any circumstance life brought to her and make the most of it. A truly remarkable lady! Miss her already!
Aunt Carrie, we will lovingly remember you always.
“Peace I Ieave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27
Her graveside service will be on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11am at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, OK. Our many memories of how Aunt Carrie touched our lives will be shared at her Celebration of Life luncheon following her graveside service.
