Catherine Marie Biggers' Obituary
On Thursday, December, 31 2020 Catherine Marie (Katie) Rehm-Biggers loving wife and mother of three children past away at the age of 91.
Katie was born on September 21, 1929 to Alysious Van Rehm and Pauline Louise Hembrow. She graduated from Avant Senior High School on May 26th, 1949 where she lettered four years on the basketball team and was awarded Conference All Star honors. Catherine was also honored by the Tulsa Tribune in May 1944 as the winner of the Eastern Oklahoma Spelling Competition.
What we remember most about her was she was quick to tell you how to run your life, what you should do and how you should do it. She would point out what she did or didn’t like but if you were in trouble, Mom was always there. She always rooted for the underdog. She was a mom to all because our house was where our friends came to play and she always made sure everyone was fed. We remember her patience when we were on a duck or deer hunt and always late for thanksgiving dinner. She was absolutely selfless. She always made sure that we had the proper attire and we were prepared for our events and challenges and as always sacrificing her own desires.
She led a long and full life and was working for Community Care as a Volunteer Coordinator right up to her passing. She was tuff, bossy, temperamental, hardheaded and with love guided a couple of guys from Owasso Oklahoma to lead very successful lives. We can only wonder how we would have turned out without her.
She follows her Son Billy and Husband Billy Glenn. She leaves behind Sons Robbie and Steve, Daughter in laws Cathy and Shelly, Grand Children Steffanie, Eric, Great Grand Child Holly, Sisters Helen, Laura (Boots) and her Brother Charles.
Mom I hope you swing dance through Heaven and by the way, “It’s time to go home Kate”
Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor James Lacey officiating.
