Catherine Janice Morton's Obituary
Catherine “Cathy” Morton, lovingly known as Nana or Mother Morton, passed away peacefully at home in Tulsa at the age of 72. Born alongside her twin sister, Caroline, she was the daughter of Walter and Joan Jacobs. Cathy is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Robin Morton, their sons Jason, his wife Christina and Justin, his wife Amber, and six adored grandchildren: Joanna, Benaiah, Russell, Harper, Micah, and Liberty.
She is also survived by her siblings Gene, his wife Anne and Caroline, her husband Danny, nieces and nephews she loved deeply. A proud graduate of Will Rogers High School, Cathy made lifelong friendships during her career, especially at Mapco/Williams.
Cathy had a deep love for softball and community. In Tennessee, she and Robin volunteered with Smyrna Football and built treasured friendships. A writer at heart, she authored children’s books inspired by her grandkids and her dear friend Patti Cooley.
Above all, Cathy’s faith in Jesus was her guiding light. She faced life—and death—with courage and peace, grounded in her love for God and the people who meant everything to her.
Memorial service will be held Friday, July 11th, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
