Cecil Virgil Smith's Obituary
Cecil Virgil Smith, born July 21, 1918 at Pine Bluff, Ark. to John and Violia (Blackburn) Smith. His brothers Rudy and Carol and sisters Madie and Dean preceded him death. He was married December 7, 1941 to wife Betty (Taggart) Smith. He served in United States Army during the four years of WW II in the South Pacific. After attending Findley Engineering College in Kansas City, Mo. he settled in Tulsa and worked ten years for Mason Electric Company and ten years in his own Appliance Repair business before joining Centrilift Hughes where he retired in 1984. He was a charter member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and lifetime member of Oklahoma Beekeeping and Woodworking. He is survived by his wife Betty, Children, Larry Smith, and wife Vickie and Deanna Cate. Grandchildren are Chad and his wife Brandi, Michael Smith and Sherre Warren. Great-Grandcchildren are Karma and Lynea. Funeral services are 12:30 Friday January 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Floral Haven Funeral Home. The family held a reception in the Family Center at Floral Haven and a graveside service was held at 2:30 with military honors following the reception.
