Cecilia Ellen Roark's Obituary
Cecilia Ellen Roark, age 80, passed peacefully from this life and entered the gates of Heaven on October 29, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on April 12, 1945, in Sparrow, Oklahoma, Cecilia was the cherished daughter of Otto Cecil and Eula Marie Hendrix.
Cecilia embodied the heart of a family-centered woman. Her love for her family was unwavering, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of her delicious cooking. She found joy in gathering loved ones around the table, sharing meals, stories, and memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She treasured time spent with her brothers, especially their fishing trips, which were filled with laughter and quiet companionship. Cecilia had a creative spirit and a gentle soul—she loved art and coloring, and could often be found typing away, usually transcribing her favorite recipes to share with others. Her days were brightened by simple pleasures like watching The Price Is Right and Wheel of Fortune, which she enjoyed with the same enthusiasm she brought to every aspect of her life.
Cecilia was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and devotion. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven with grace, generosity, and the quiet strength of a woman who lived for those she loved.
Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Cecilia is preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her children Judy Brooks and Paula Jackson; grandchildren Michael Tapp and his wife Lauren, Paul Aaron Roark, Matthew Tapp and his wife Samantha, Hunter Duane Jackson, Hailey Jackson and her fiancé Parker Harrison, and Holden Lee Jackson; great grandchildren Brayleigh Francis, Addison Willmon, and Matthew Glenn Tapp; siblings Marie Yount, Virginia Easter, Sam Hendrix, Bobby Hendrix, Jerri Sandridge, and Terry Hendrix; along with other family members and friends who will forever cherish their memories together.
A visitation to come and pay respects to Cecilia will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 1pm-7pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home located at 6500 S. 129th E. Ave., Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 11am at the Tulsa Family Church located at 2021 N. Joplin Ave., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74115. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens at 2pm. Services are under the care and direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home.
