Charlene Moyer's Obituary
Charlene H. Moyer, age 87 passed this life on July 15, 2025 in Bixby, Oklahoma. She entered this world and began her legacy on May 29, 1938 in Greenwood, Arkansas to her parents Charlie and Nettie Heard. Charlene was a loving mother and wife of 57 years. Charlene filled lives with art, love, and warmth.
Charlene had an eye for beautiful things. She was an artist in many ways—drawing, painting, sewing, cosmetology, and anything else that she could get her hands on to create something beautiful. Her creativity was a reflection of her generous spirit, and she delighted in expressing herself through her various artistic talents.
As a true Christian woman, Charlene was beautiful inside and out. She had a caring heart and loved helping at shelters, always eager to lend a hand to those in need. Her faith guided her actions, and her compassion touched the lives of many. She would give her last dollar to help someone but luckily was able to donate to others in life through her time and finances.
She shared a devoted marriage of 57 years with her husband, Don Moyer. The two were just shy of 58 years before Charlene had gone to be with the Lord. She was a safe space for her family and friends. Others always felt comfortable confiding in her, and she had an amazing listening ear, and one that would never judge. Family was at the heart of her life, and her love for Donnie and Arlen knew no bounds.
Charlene’s favorite saying, “I will not die, I'll fly,” resonates with us now more than ever. We find comfort in knowing that while she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit soars, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever warm our hearts. Due to her strong faith, we all know that she is resting and rejoicing with Jesus.
We will always remember Charlene for her artistic flair, her generous heart, and the joy she brought into our lives. Her light continues to shine in every life she touched and every act of kindness she performed.
Charlene will be dearly missed by her doting husband Don Moyer; son Arlen Moyer; along with other family members and friends.
A graveside gathering will be held 12:30 PM, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Garden of Last Supper Pad in the Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
