Charles Wayne Alger
Charles Wayne Alger of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday July 6, 2024 at the age of 79 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 28, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to George and Ruby Alger.
After graduating from high school, he served two years in the US Marine Corps. Afterwards he
worked many years as a computer programmer and operator at Cities Service Oil in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In retirement drove a school bus for several years for Tulsa Union Public Schools. Wayne loved tinkering with things and working with wood and leather. In 2013 he became an Ordained Deacon with the Church of the Nazarene. He was a long-time member of the Regency Park Church of the Nazarene where he ministered to the senior adults and helped wherever was needed.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Ruby Alger, his brother Ron Alger and his niece Ronea Hart.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years Joyce Alger of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his daughters Carissa Campbell and husband Dwight, Jacinda Sardina and husband Nathan; his grandchildren Michel Becker and wife Autumn, Katelyn Costanzo and husband Paul, Misha Becker, Maddy Sardina, Makayla Campbell, Makaylee Campbell, Melina Becker, and Damion Sardina; great grandson Grayson Costanzo as well as many cousins and other extended family and friends.
The visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 11th, at Floral Haven Funeral Home, and the funeral service will be 12:30 PM, Friday, July 12th, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
