When the Arnolds moved in next door, I was 14 and just out of a sling from breaking my collar bone on my old motorcycle, a Bridgestone 90. Cotton was one of the few that knew that brand of motorcycle. He told me about his Cushman Eagle and how he took the chrome vacuum cleaner tubes that someone was throwing out and removed the muffler from his Cushman and made a straight pipe out of those tubes. I asked him how much horsepower it added, he just started laughing and said “None, but it sure sounded faster”. Ever since, when I see a vacuum sitting on the side of the curb, I get a smile on my face and think about his story and how we laughed about it.
My thoughts are with all of you, and thank you for sharing such a wonderful person with our family
