Charles Gary Ballard, a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 surrounded by family. Gary was born in Carthage, Missouri on September 24, 1946 to Thelma and John Ballard. Gary attended Okmulgee High School, graduating class of 1964.Gary had a passion for being outdoors and fishing. When he wasn’t kicking back in his favorite recliner, he spent his time gardening, working on his truck, and catching the latest college football game.Gary is survived by his wife Herminia Ballard, his children Stephanie Ballard, Joseph Mendoza, Richard Mendoza, and Amy Rankin, his grandsons Robert “Robbie” Dale DeWeese and Aiden Rankin, siblings Terry and John Ballard, and his beloved four legged friend Jake.Gary is preceded in death by his parents and his youngest brother, Jim Ballard.At the request of Gary, no church nor graveside services will be held, however, the family will have a private service for close friends and family in his honor.
