Charles L. "Chuck" Heick's Obituary
Charles L. “Chuck” Heick, 80, of Tulsa, died on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was born on April 24, 1933 in Peterson, Iowa, the son of Peter and Anna Bell Heick. On September 28, 1956, he married Lois Ruth Fuls in Belleview, Nebraska. Chuck proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1972, after 21 years of service. He served in two foreign wars, Korea and Vietnam, as a missile technician and air frame power plant mechanic during his military career. Following his time in the military, he owned and operated a Phillips 66 station in Tulsa, and Chuck’s Automotive in Jenks, OK, retiring in 1996. Chuck loved to travel and enjoyed woodworking. He was an active member at Christview Christian Church, in Tulsa. Chuck is survived by his wife, Lois Heick, children, Bryan Heick, and his wife, Cindy, of Glenpool, OK, Gary Heick, and his wife, Denice, of Ponca City, OK, Curtis Heick, of Tulsa, OK, James Heick, of Gulf Port, MS, Brenda (Heick) DeLancy, and her husband, Ricky, of Mannford, OK, nine grandchildren, Jeramy DeLancy, Sara Heick, Rachel Heick, Aubrey DeLancy, Amy Heick, Carissa DeLancy, Michelle Russell, Corey Arceneaux, Angela Arceneaux, great-grandchildren, Destinie DeLancy, Braden Maher, Miles Russell, Matthew Russell, and Madison Russell, and great-great grandson, Ezekiel Russell, siblings, Dott Johnson, Madrid, IA, Jennie Markow, Shoreview, MN, and Lucille Curtis, of Ft., Smith, AR, and numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Mary Williams, Ray Heick, Rosie Moyer, Jane Kindig, infant brother, Virgil Heick, and great granddaughter, Amanda Russell. Memorial donations may be made in Chuck’s name to Sunset Bible Camp, 8474 S 369th West Ave, Mannford, OK 74044.
