Obituary for Charles C. (Charlie) CollieCharlie was born on July 25, 1948 in Amarillo, Texas to E. A. Collie and Ella Louise Scroggins. He graduated from West Texas University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He moved to Oklahoma to pursue his career in the Oil and Gas industry. He loved to negotiate so he excelled in his career as a Purchasing Manager. He was known as a man of integrity and values. He didn’t have much use for television unless it was an old western or a documentary. He was an avid reader of history, particularly of the old west. He admired Charlie Russell and enjoyed his drawings and writings. He is survived by his wife, Linda; Brother, Eddy Collie and his wife, Virginia; sisters, Esther Daniel and Tommie Sue Summars and preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
