I knew Charlie when we were both stationed at 377 Med Co (Air Ambulance) in Korea in 1969-70. He was a fine man, a real gentleman in a place where that wasn’t always easy. We became good friends, and after we were both out of the Army, we used to be in touch by phone every Christmas. We hadn’t been in touch in several years. Now I see why, sadly. I’ve just found this in February 2018. Rest in peace, my old friend.
I will always remember Charlie as being a great negotiator; he was a good soul with a kind and generous heart. I enjoyed his sense of humor and his sincere and warm demeanor. My sympathies to the family for this sad loss. Sheryl Myerley
