Reverend Charles Gable passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 78 years old.
Born on January 14, 1947, in Ashland, Oregon, Charles was the beloved son of Charles Gable Sr. and Earline Moore. He went on to live a life marked by deep faith, service, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving honorably from 1965 to 1971. His service took him across Europe and the United States, where he worked as a Senior Signal Analyst and Special Projects Director. His dedication to excellence and his calm leadership left a lasting impression on everyone who served alongside him.
An inquisitive and driven scholar, Charles pursued higher education at Stanislaus State College in Turlock, California the Lowell Institute of Technology in Massachusetts and the University of Maryland. He valued knowledge and encouraged his children to chase wisdom and truth with the same passion he carried.
But Charles’s heart was always at home. He cherished family time above all else. Whether it was preparing his signature meals sushi, stir fry, or his famous spaghetti or simply gathering everyone together for conversation and laughter, Charles created warmth wherever he was. Sunday afternoons were often spent watching Formula One races after church, a quiet ritual he enjoyed with a cup of coffee and his thoughts.
Charles found joy in music, both as a listener and a creator. He played in his church band and spent many quiet hours in his home office reading, reflecting, and tinkering with cars. His hands could build, repair, and heal his spirit could lift, inspire, and love.
He was married to Linda Jean Gable for 41 beautiful years until her passing. Together, they built a legacy of faith, family, and compassion.

John Ripley, Angelika Gable, Tyrone Gable, Michael Gable, Aaron Gable, Shannon Gable, Natasha Gable, William Gable, Darrin Gable, Joshua Gable, Daniel Gable, Noah Gable, and Sarah Gable.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Gable, and two beloved daughters, Shawna Parr and Precious Gable.
He will be remembered as a man of wisdom, strength, and deep kindness a true servant of God who led not just with words, but with his life.
His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched.
