Charles F. Jones' Obituary
Charles F Jones was born in Miami, Oklahoma, Feb 12th 1940 to Charley Ray Jones and Viola "Vi" Ann (Ellington) Jones. .
He met and married Jerry Lou Shipley in 1959 when he was 19 and she was 15. They had two children, Bobby and Tammy. They were married 52 years.
He spent his years growing up on his dad's tree nursery. He collected multiple creatures such as a baby squirrel he fed and then released back to the wild. He graduated from Miami High school in 1958. He started working for Rockwell (Boeing) in 1962 where he retired as NC Programmer 33 years later. He helped to write parts for the Space Shuttle and the B1B Bomber. He continued to work as a contractor for Boeing after retirement for many years. He was also a driver for Enterprise Car Rental along side his best friend and son-in-law Jim Burchett.
Charles was a very strong and generous man and a great provider. He was a very hard worker who never missed work. His favorite thing was Oklahoma University football and computers. He liked fishing, garage sales, writing music on the computer, drawing, painting, sewing, cooking and baking, and cartoons. Especially Disney and Looney Tunes.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jerry of 52 years, both his parents, Charley and Viola Jones, his sister Ruthie (Jones) Hawkins, his sister Margie (Jones) Chestnut, son-in-law Jim Burchett, granddaughter Tara Burchett, great granddaughter Kayla Burchett.
He is survived by his son Robert B. Jones and wife Leslie Jones of Tulsa, his daughter Tamera (Jones) Burchett of Catoosa, grandsons Terry C. Jones, Robb E. Lambrecht, Brandon K. Lambrecht, granddaughters Amy C. Jones and Tessa Williams, 13 great grandkids and 2 great great grandkids. Nieces Deborah Fein, Connie Hobson and Patty Hawkins.
