Charles C. Parent's Obituary
Charles “Charlie” Parent was born December 11, 1932 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Charlie and Iva Parent. He graduated from Heavener High School and went on to earn a degree in business from Eastern Oklahoma A&M College in Wilburton. He and his parents moved to Tulsa where he worked several jobs, including laying parquet floors with his father in the Lortondale neighborhood. Charles went to work for Earlougher Engineering in their print shop in 1957. He remained with the company through many ownership changes. Charles also did printing projects for The University of Tulsa. These projects included short courses for the Continuing Education department, theses and dissertations for graduate students in the engineering department, and catalog cards for Petroleum Abstracts. He married Ada Jackson on November 28, 1958 in Tulsa. They have two daughters – Andrea and Alicia. He was a deacon at Ranch Acres Baptist Church where he did many works of service.
