Charles Ray Peebles' Obituary
Charles Ray Peebles, 79, passed from this life on June 25, 2026, in Owasso, Oklahoma. He was born on November 10, 1946, in Firstview, Colorado, to Francis Marion Peebles and Bertha Alice (Green) Peebles.
Charles was a man of remarkable skill, heart, and devotion. He served his country with pride in the US Army. He was blessed with a natural talent for upholstery; he spent nearly 50 years perfecting his craft. Upholstery wasn’t just a job to him, it was a true passion, something he poured his creativity and care into every single day.
Outside of work, Charles found joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life. He loved fishing, camping, and spending time surrounded by the people he cherished most. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he adored every moment he spent with them.
Charles was the epitome of an amazing father; selfless, steady, and endlessly giving. He would do anything for his family, including giving them the shirt off his back, something he quite literally did at times. His love was generous, uncomplicated, and unwavering.
He also had a few signature favorites that brought him daily delight: Dr. Pepper and white gravy, both of which he could happily enjoy by the gallon.
Charles shared 52 beautiful years with the love of his life, Myra Peebles, before her passing in 2022. Their marriage was a testament to devotion, partnership, and enduring love. Those who knew them saw a bond that was rare and deeply inspiring.
Charles leaves behind a legacy of kindness, craftsmanship, humor, and love; a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Francis Marion Peebles and Bertha Alice (Green) Peebles; and his beloved wife Myra Peebles. Left to cherish Charles memory are his children Kenny Peebles and his wife Kat, Kathy Yarbrough and her husband Robert, Marlene Lemasters and her husband Mike, and Cindy Molett and her husband Aaron; grandchildren Kayla Sullivan and her husband Caleb, Taylor Wheeler and her husband Kevin, Jesse Watson and partner Taylor, Casey Breshears and her husband Zach, Alexus Peebles and Aaron Jr., Ben Yarbrough and his wife Danielle, and Josh Yarbrough and his wife Meredith; great grandchildren Laynee, Conner, Rylee, Macy, Lacy, Ella, James, Gavin, Brayden, Caitlin, Madeline, Lily, and Jack; along with other family members and friends who will forever cherish their memories together.
