Charles Don Rogers' Obituary
Charles Don Rogers born 5/5/1948 in Tamaha, Ok; died November 10, 2012 at 2:30 am after a short illness. Resident of Sand Springs since 1988. Don graduated from Keota High School in Keota, Ok. He lettered in football for 4 years and after playing football, he was never interested in watching it on tv. Military career: US ARMY from 1969 to 1971. He spent 14 months in QUANG TRI, VIETNAM. EMPLOYMENT: Don worked the last 22 years for Saint Francis Hospital as a driver in the Transportation Department. His customers loved Don because they could depend on him and know that their orders would be delivered correct. They hated it when they found out that he had scheduled a vacation or a surgery where he would be off work for longer than a week. HOBBIES: Don loved working in his backyard. He always said it was “his therapy” planting flowers and tomatoes. Don loved to travel. His favorite spot was Jamaica and went there 28 times since 1991. He also liked the other Caribbean islands like Cozumel, Barbados, and Ixtapa. Survivors: His wife of 25 years, Mary Kay Burnham-Rogers Two brothers and their wives: Jerry Wayne Robinson & Joyce Robinson; Rocky Ray Rogers and Wynonna Rogers of Collinsville, Ok. Two sisters – Phyllis Thompson and husband Doug Thompson, and Jenny Gail Martin of Owasso, Michigan. Three daughters: Suong Rogers of Glen Allen, Virginia, Kandace Cahill of Lafayette, Colorado, and Charmin Danaie Rogers of Independence, Ks. Nieces: Crystal Thompson Leonard of Catoosa, Shelly Rogers Platte of Michigan, Stephanie Lynette Robinson Nephews: Phillip Thompson of Catoosa, Joey Martin of Michigan, James Robinson Grandchildren: Justin Nam Nguyen of Glen Allen, Va Ethan Dot Nguyen of Glen Allen, Va Alder Jackson Cahill of Lafayette, Co Tyler Trent Rogers of Independence, Ks Tracy Danaie Rogers of Maryland Cousins; Terry Ingram, Carolyn Rogers,Grand Nieces – Briana Chainy and Amanda Bishop, Jordan Leonard Grand Nephew – Seth Robinson, and Blake Leonard Memorial Service at Floral Haven on November 12, 2012, at 12:30 pm
