Charles Brown Teel Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Brown Teel, Jr., born on January 25, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was the beloved son of Charles B. and Maurine Berry Teel. He was raised alongside his sister, Judi Hatfield, on the family ranch in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where he cultivated a deep love for nature and family.
Charles attended Southeastern State University, where he met the love of his life, Betty Stoddard. They married on May 27, 1966, and together built a beautiful life, welcoming two cherished daughters, Suzanne in 1970 and Danielle in 1976.
Charles was an inspiring art teacher early in his career before finding his true calling as a school guidance counselor, where he helped countless students discover their passions and purpose. Known for his love of painting, traveling, and time spent gardening, and at the lake, Charles lived life with creativity and kindness. A devoted member of The Park Church of Christ, he exemplified faith and compassion.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles B. and Maurine Teel. He leaves behind his loving wife, Betty; his daughters, Suzanne Teel and Danielle Balentine with her husband, Jeff Balentine; his adored grandchildren, Chelsea Crews, Zachary Crews, Ellie Balentine, and Warren Balentine; and one great-grandchild, Landyn Crews. Charles will be remembered with love and deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held 4:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Visitation Suites, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
The family has asked that everyone wear bright clothes to Charles' Celebration of Life Service to be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
