Charles Wayne Potter's Obituary
Charles Wayne Potter died peacefully in St. Francis Hospital on Sunday, December 20th, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 63. Charlie is survived by his wife, Julie Potter; children, Cody Wayne Potter, 24 and Shelby Maryna Potter, 18; one brother, James Potter of Olathe, Kansas and two sisters, Nona Hessman of Kellyville, Oklahoma and Cleta Stewart of Arkansas. He had three nieces, three nephews and two stepchildren. He is preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Potter, of Kellyville, Oklahoma. Charlie was born on August 18, 1952 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to James and Almeda Potter. He graduated from East Central H.S. in 1970. He married Julie, a graphic artist, in 1990. One year later, the couple welcomed their first born son into their home. In 1999, God called the couple to Ukraine where they adopted a beautiful little girl at two years of age. His children remember him as a present father who would do anything for them. Charlie was accomplished at construction work and could repair or build just about anything. He and his wife started a business; Contractors Just 4U, in 1994. They enjoyed working together on many home improvement projects. He was a generous and selfless individual who loved serving widows and widowers. He was an active and dedicated member of Hope Worship Center and often volunteered his talents at various organizations assisting the elderly. A funeral is scheduled for Wed., Dec. 23rd at Hope Worship Center located at 8304 South 107th East Avenue, Tulsa. Pastor Scott Olson will officiate the ceremony.
