Charles Michael Worsham's Obituary
Mike Worsham, age 53, passed away from a sudden illness on December 5, 2008. He was a cherished husband, father, and friend. He was born to Bobby and Billie Worsham in Warner Robbins, Georgia on August 20, 1955. He attended high school in San Antonio, Texas, then served in the Army as a medic from 1976 to 1979. He later attended Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, and graduated with honors. Mike attended the Physician Assistant program at the University of Oklahoma from 1988-1990. He has worked in various positions as a PA until he settled in Tulsa lastly working at St. Francis Hospital for the last 15 years. He specialized in and loved Emergency Medicine. He married the love of his life the former Joan B. Pineau of Lawton on December 10, 1983 and subsequently had a son, Patrick, on April 4, 1990. He has a daughter, Candice, 31, from his first marriage. Mike was an avid runner and weight lifter and had completed 6 marathons. He loved the outdoors, camping, hiking and boating as well. He most loved, however, being a husband and a father. His work and life touched many people and he will be sorely missed. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.Survived By: He is survived by his wife and son of the home in Tulsa. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Greg and Diane Pineau and their sons Jason, Brian, and Jared of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Joe and Wanda Pineau of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He leaves behind many cherished friends from the Lawton, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa areas and many cherished colleagues at St. francis Hospital in Tulsa.
